Credentialed to do clinic work,  duties include providing treatment for clients suffering from substance abuse by: assessing client needs and diagnosing according to DSM-IV criteria; developing treatment plans with the client and strategies for implementation; conducting individual, group and family counseling; conducting psycho-educational individual and group sessions;.  In addition, because of fluency in Spanish, engaged in community outreach for Latinos, enhanced cultural sensitivity for clinical staff, developed intake procedures and facilitated process and psychotherapy groups in Spanish.  Worked in Emergency Department assisting psychiatric Social Workers performing general psychiatric assessments.  Engaged in life coaching and life skills education
